DEWA ATHENA

Hello everybody, now I will tell you about Dewa Athena. What is Dewa Athena????

On March 10^th my school held an event. This is kind of sport event. This event is Dewa Athena. I didn’t know where this name coming from, certainly, it was kind of abridgment. Dewa Athena is an annual event in my school. This year Dewa Athena held for three days.

In Dewa Athena we would play some fun game. Such as, football, volleyball, dodgeball, basketball, badminton, tug of war, and gobak sodor. Every class should send their member to participate each game.

Oh, in this event, all the student should wear their class jersey. It was just like the identity. Every class had their own jersey, I think my class had the best jersey hahaJ. Our jersey is grey with three stripes on the shoulder, our clas name “SISA” (Sepuluh IPA Sembilan) in front side, and our name with our number in back side.

In the opening of Dewa Athena, every students should have come to Lapbal at 06.30. We held an opening ceremony before this event was start. In this ceremony, some delegation from the student stand in front of the field and hold a torch to burn the wood. My classmate, Pungki was one of the delegation.

After we held the ceremony, we ran around Indonesia. No no no it was not Indonesia our country, it called run around Indonesia because we ran pass the street with the name of Indonesia’s region like Bali Street, Belitung street, Sumatra street, Jawa street, and Kalimantan street. This activity was very fun, we can ran while watching arround. And it was not tiring, because we did it together so, we just felt fun.

After that, we went back to Lapbal and start the games yeayyy. In first day, our class played volleyball, badminton, basketball, and tug of war. I was just see my class from the field side because just some student who played the game for her/him class. My class was played all the game well. Before we matched volleyball, we practiced first. Oh and finally my class could play in next round tomorrow.

In the next day. We played all the games. First, my class played futsal. And then, my class played woman dodgeball. For dogdeball, we played at bangsal. My class played very energic. I was just gave them spirit from the field side. But, in dodgeball we were loseL. After that my class played gobak sodor. Oh ya, I played this game with 9 friends. We played it with our senior. They played the gobak sodor very well. They had many best strategy. So, in this game we were lose too. Next, my class played tug of war. I decided not to play in this game because I think, this game need strong persons and I think my friends were stronger than me. We played with our seniors again. They are choose the big and tall students for this game. From the beginning, we all know we will lose again. And it was true, they defeat us very easy.

The day turned, it was 12 o’clock so me and my friends decided to go to bazaar and bought some food. We ate fried rice at bazaar. We ate the fried rice while talking with random topic. And, suddenly the rain was drop. We remembered that our bag was in the field. So, we went back to lapbal in the rain. We were wet. But, fortunately my friend save our bag from the rain. The rain getting bigger, the games couldn’t continue. So our class couldn’t play some games. Me and my friends decided to stayed in the bangsal because the rain was very heavy. I stayed at bangsal while watching the badminton match. Because the rain, the games were delayed.

After the rain getting smaller, some students left the lapbal and went back to their house. So, the game will held in the next day.

In the third day, I couldn’t attend Dewa Athena. But, my class still played the games. They played it very well, but we couldn’t go to final L. It was very sad, but we were very happy because we could participate this event.

The final of Dewa Athena was held at April 23^th. In this final, there will be Paman Gober too. Paman Gober was also a sport activity in my school, in this event we could go around Bandung by riding bicycle. And in the finish we could plant some plants. But, I was very sad because I couldn’t attend this event too. I was the KPA 3 member and KPA 3 was helding a concert at April 23^th.

I really enjoyed this event. I wish I could participate this event again next year.
